Not good as expected. Some materials are out of date and you think you will need to update yourself. An improvement is needed to make this course a 2020 curriculum.
There are several intermediate comments made by Colt assistants assistant Ian that try to help review this fact but reflect the fact. I know it’s a lot of work, but you’ll get 5 star reviews.
On the other hand I feel disappointed at the fact that in the end, I did not think how to build my website. The deployment part briefly speaks of how to deploy a project in Heroku. Nothing is said about what will happen if I already have my own website or if I want to create a new one. I wanted to learn coding to improve my business website. I have it in wordpress I know the backend language is php and I can use a control panel to manage it. Nothing has been said in the syllabus about this.
I got to the end and the YelpCamp project that was key to our learning through experience was incomplete. They try to give you many videos from YouTube and give you the things you need. I only saw one by Ian on Google Maps, and it was so old that I couldn’t follow the current Google API environment.
I was given what was promised when I bought the course. This is not enough for me to create my own website or project.
All of this I said that I needed to leave some comments on the positivity of this course. First the Q&A team. I asked a few things and the responses were quick and helpful. On the online environment that is very welcome.
The course is complete. I think I now have the tools to delve deeper into various technologies and languages if I want to.
Colt is very clear in its detail. Some time speaks for a foreigner like myself to hurry, but we spell rewind as many times as we want.
All along it is considered, perhaps still one of the best and more complete courses available online on the subject. I feel tempted to search for others.
There are many other positive aspects that I have not focused on. All I think is that 3 stars apply at this time.
Colt and team, please think about updating the content, or even creating a new entire curriculum.
- BestSeller badges
- 630,000+ students entrolled
- No matter how many flaws, but it is still the best course in its area
- Lots of content have to update according to 2021
- Too many “Note about…lecture”
- First part has lots of homework and assignments that allow you to perfect these concepts, but the second part there was zero exercises
